Have you been considering leaping into your first massage experience? Well first, don't leap... you might injure yourself and then we'll need to work on that instead of just enjoying a full body relaxation massage!

During your first visit, I'll ask you to complete a Client Intake Form that brings me up to speed with your health history and other relevant information. Knowing your health history will help ensure that you have the most pleasant and successful massage possible. On your intake form, it's very important that you be honest and clear about any medical conditions or medications you take because certain medical conditions aren't conducive with massage therapy. Once we're finished getting your paperwork in order and we've gotten to know each other a little, we'll make our way to the massage table in my dimly lit massage room. Soft and relaxing music will be playing and a candle will be burning, but either or both of those can be stopped if you prefer, of course! This is also when you are welcome to smell the various essential oils for your complimentary doTERRA™ Aromatherapy enhancement and we can discuss their properties and which one you would like me to use during today's massage! I'll show you where you can place your clothing, purse, phone (powered down), keys, etc. and then I'll leave the room while you get undressed and knock softly before I re-enter, of course. During this time, you will have gotten undressed to your level of comfort and laid on the massage table, face down, between the clean sheets. You will be covered by the sheet throughout the entire massage session and the only area that will be exposed is the area I will be working on at that moment. Please let me know if there are any areas you would like me to focus on or if you have areas you would like me to avoid. Also, please let me know if you have any allergies or skin sensitivities to oils and/or lotions. During your massage, I'll ask you about the amount of pressure I'm applying, so please feel free to let me know if you would like more or less ... or if it's just right! At the end of your massage session, I will leave the room so you can get dressed and relax for the rest of the day. And be sure to drink plenty of water so your muscles stay hydrated!
